Short Attention Span Theatre returns to the Garfield Center for a 9th year!
Join us for an engaging evening of 10-minute plays, designed to hold your attention for just. long. enough. The Play Fest will showcase a range of actors, directors and authors - including original works by local playwrights!
*All ticket holders are invited to return after Sunday’s (6/30) performance for a ”talk-back” with playwrights, directors & actors.

Overall, there are approximately 40 people involved. We have folks from their teens to their 60's. We have Teachers and Students and Builders and Engineers and Accountants and more! These are 40 of your friends, neighbors and co-workers who come together to create one unified production out of many, many moving parts. It's a marvelous, crazy and slightly miraculous thing to behold from behind the scenes!
We have 5 locally written plays; 4 were work-shopped through the Live Playwrights' Society (a local writers group which was created through a collaboration between Church Hill Theatre's Steve Arnold, The Prince Theatre's Lucia Foster, and Mark Sullivan).

Hey! Wait a Minute! – A series of 1-minute plays will be performed at 7:15pm in the Lobby before Friday & Saturday performances of SAST. This is the inaugural year of HWM. Directed by Tess Hogans. Produced by Mark Sullivan. Performed by Melody Bishop; Anna Black; Reilly Cox; Austin Lewis; Tess Hogans. Two published plays; Four locally written plays from LPS members. A selection of HWM plays will be performed at the 6/22 and 6/29 Chestertown Farmer’s Markets.
