The Garfield Center for the Arts Announces its First Annual One Act Play Festival

Show producer, Diane Landskroener, predicts sell-out performances for the upcoming One Act Play Festival at the Garfield Center for the Arts at the Prince Theatre.  “This is our first one act festival at the Garfield Center and the enthusiasm among the cast, crew and individual directors is infectious.  We have Prince Theatre veterans and refreshing new faces among the festival participants.  It’s a dynamic group.”

The festival will feature three plays at each performance. They are “The Ugly Duckling” by A.A. Milne, directed by Jim Landskroener, “The Way of All Fish” by Elaine May directed by Mark Sullivan and “The Hysterical Misogynist” by Murray Schisgal directed by Ed Langrell.

The One Act Play Festival will run for two weekends in September.  Show dates and times are as follows:  September 9, 10, 16 & 17 at 8:00 pm. Matinee performances are on September 11 & 18 at 3:00 pm.  Tickets are $15.00.  Student ticket prices are $5.00 with valid student identification.

Ticket holders from all shows are invited back for the final performance, free of charge, to participate in our “Talk-Back.” This is a chance for the audience to ask the actors, directors, tech folks, etc., what really goes on behind the scenes. These are often enlightening and always fun – so hold on to your ticket stubs!

To reserve your tickets contact the Garfield Center for the Arts box office by calling 410-810-2060 or visit the theatre website at www.princetheatre.org.
